Track and Field Concludes Split Squad Weekend with Day Two of Bison Classic

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Shenandoah University outdoor track and field teams competed for the fourth consecutive day with day two of the Bison Outdoor Classic, which is their third meet of the weekend.

TRACK RECAP

All five athletes competing on the track for the Hornets on Sunday made new entries in the program's record book.

In the men's 400m, Wyatt Newcome finished the race at 51.94 seconds, which puts him eighth all-time for the Hornets.

Kyle Corpin broke his PR by nearly six seconds in the men's mile, completing Sunday's race with a mark of 4:37.80. Nathan Lee finished the race at 4:42.84, which also breaks his PR by nearly six seconds as well. Corpin and Lee are now third and fifth all-time in the men's mile for SU, respectively.

Over in the women's mile, Grace Semow ran a 5:24.29, which puts her third all-time for the Hornets, while Amy Oleksy is now fourth all-time after finishing at 5:32.45 today. Semow broke her previous best by 27.50 seconds.

FIELD RECAP

Mekhi Mims was the lone Hornet to compete in the field at Bucknell for the Hornets. Mims competed in the high jump and placed 10th with a mark of 1.87m.

UP NEXT

The Hornets are at the ODAC Championships at EMU in two weeks.
