Men's Golf Enters Top 25 of Coaches Poll for First Time Ever

NORMAN, Okla. - The Shenandoah University men's golf team has entered the Bushnell/Golfweek DIII Coaches' poll for the first time in program history, ranking 24th in this week's release by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

After receiving votes in the fall of 2025, the Hornets have cracked into the top-25 for the first time after placing inside the top-five at their first two tournaments of the fall.

In the first tournament of the season, the Hornets placed fourth at the Transylvania Fall Invite, beating out top-25 teams Guilford College and Transylvania University.

The following weekend, the Hornets placed third at the Gate City Invitational, hosted by Greensboro College, and topped nationally ranked teams Methodist University, Oglethorpe University, Transylvania, Guilford, and the University of Lynchburg.

At both tournaments, Shenandoah had multiple student-athletes finish inside the top 20 of individuals, including Braden Hermansky, who tied for first at each event.

The Hornets are joined by fellow ODAC schools No. 12 Washington and Lee University, No. 23 Guilford, and No. 25 Lynchburg.

The next coaches' poll is scheduled to come out on October 16.
