WINCHESTER, Va. - Junior Chris Rhone (Washington, D.C./Northwestern) poured in 31 points, but it was not enough as Lycoming took home a 91-84 victory over host Shenandoah Tuesday night.

Lycoming (7-2) shot a sizzling 13 for 20 (65.0 percent) in the second half to pull away from the Hornets (4-4).

Shenandoah scored the first eight points of the game and led by the same margin with 11:39 left in the first, but the Warriors went on a 7-0 run over the next 2:12 to trail by just one (17-16) at the 9:27 mark.

SU pulled the lead back to seven on three different occasions, but another 7-0 LC run knotted the game for first time at 35-35 with just over two minutes remaining. The two teams then found themselves tied three more times, the last when Curtis Mays answered a Chris Jenkins (Bristow, Va./Nokesville) trey with six ticks showing.

Shenandoah regained the advantage in the opening moments of the second, but after the visitors took their first lead on a LJ Huggler layup at the 15:02 mark, LC controlled play the rest of the way. The Warriors led all but 1:53 of the rest of the game, and never trailed past the 10:15 mark.

SU was able to cut the deficit to one on two different occasions, but Lycoming's hot shooting and 13 three-pointers (on 22 attempts) spelled doom for the Hornets.

LC got 59 of its 91 points from two players. Jonathan Pribble had 35 (21 after the break) and Shaun Morris 24 to lead the visitors.

In addition to Rhone's 31, James Brodie (Stafford, Va./North Stafford) added 14 and Chad Brashears (Hagerstown, Md./St. Maria Goretti) 13.
