WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shenandoah University women's tennis team opened the spring portion of its 2022-23 schedule Wednesday afternoon with a 7-2 ODAC loss to Sweet Briar.
The Vixens (3-4, 1-0 ODAC) won in the top two doubles matches before finishing off the Hornets (1-2, 0-1) with victories in the top five singles contests.

Trailing by that 2-1 score after
Kelly Hudak and
Erin Talko were 8-6 winners at No. 3 doubles, SU got another Talko victory, this one 6-2, 6-0 at No. 6, to make the score 3-2 with Nos. 2 and 6 singles complete.
SBC then clinched the team victory by sweeping the final four singles matches in straight sets.
Jahveesha Combs (No. 1),
Lily Kimble (No. 4), and
Jada Lewis (No. 5) all extended one of their sets into a tie-break before falling.
UP NEXT
Shenandoah travels to the Hill City Saturday for a 2 p.m. ODAC match at the University of Lynchburg.
