SALEM, Va. – The Shenandoah University women's tennis team earned its first ODAC victory of the year Friday with an 8-1 road victory at Roanoke.
Shenandoah (4-5, 1-2) was perfect in doubles and then won all but No. 2 singles to down the Maroons (5-6, 2-3).

Kelly Hudak, and
Erin Talko were all double winners for the Hornets.
Combs and Kimble were 8-2 victors at No. 1 doubles, Lewis and
Allison Cherwien 8-6 at No. 2. Hudak and Talko had the first doubles point thanks to an 8-1 win at No. 3.
Hudak put SU one point from clinching the team victory with a 6-2, 6-3 triumph at No. 3 and Combs claimed that point with a 6-0, 7-5 win at No. 1.
After Kimble outlasted Victoria Rios, 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 (12-10) to win at No. 4, Lewis and Talko both won eight-game pro-sets at Nos. 5 and 6, respectively. Lewis was an 8-2 winner while Talko won at love.
UP NEXT
Saturday's home match versus Randolph-Macon is postponed and the Hornets are back on the court on Tuesday with a 3 p.m. home ODAC match versus No. 22 Washington & Lee.
