WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shenandoah University women's tennis team opened its final week of the regular season Monday by dropping a 5-4 ODAC decision to Randolph-Macon.
The Yellow Jackets (12-2, 6-2 ODAC) rebounded from a 2-1 deficit after doubles to top the Hornets (9-8, 6-3) by winning four of the six singles matches.

Jahveesha Combs and
Lily Kimble opened the day with an 8-0 victory at No. 1 doubles, and after R-MC answered with an 8-2 win at No. 3,
Kelly Hudak and
Allison Cherwien were 8-4 winners at No. 3 to put the SU on top, 2-1, heading into singles.
Macon registered wins at Nos. 3 and 6 to retake the lead, 3-2, before Kimble knotted the match at 3-3 thanks to a 6-2, 6-4 victory at No. 4.
The next two matches to come off the court, Nos. 5 and 1, were also split with Combs winning, 6-2, 6-4, at No. 1 to make it 4-4 with only the match at No. 2 remaining.
In an extremely close match, Grace Holderman edged Hudak in that contest, winning 6-2, 7-5 to give R-MC the team point.
