WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shenandoah University men's basketball team announced its 2023-24 schedule Tuesday afternoon, as announced by second-year head coach Nick Doyle.

The Hornets, coming off their best season in the last five years, host 11 home games at the James R. Wilkins, Jr. Athletics and Events Center.

Shenandoah opens the season at home on Nov. 10 versus Regent University at 7 p.m. SU defeated the Royals, 59-49, last season in the first meeting between the schools.

Wilson travels south to Winchester on Nov. 15, before the Hornets start a string of four straight road games, beginning at Washington College (Md.) on Nov. 18.

Shenandoah heads to Lancaster Bible College and Gallaudet on Nov. 21 and 26, respectively. Conference play starts for SU at Bridgewater on Nov. 29 at 7 p.m.

The Hornets' first ODAC game at home is against Roanoke on Dec. 7 before they head back to non-conference competition for the next three games.

Messiah University and Arcadia University host Shenandoah for two of those three non-conference games. In the middle of the two road games, SU hosts Southern Virginia University on Dec. 6.

Fourteen of the final 15 games are ODAC games for Shenandoah, with the lone non-conference game happening on Dec. 30 versus Elizabethtown College at home. Ten days prior, SU welcomes Guilford College to Winchester for a 3 p.m. contest.

For the first game of the new calendar year, Shenandoah travels to Virginia Wesleyan for a rematch of the 2023 ODAC Tournament first round.

On Jan. 6, the Lynchburg Hornets visit the WAEC for the first time in two years. SU defeated Lynchburg in a thriller last season, 87-86, on a Joshua Stephen buzzer-beater.

Shenandoah alternates games on the road and at home for the next stretch of competitions, with a pair of games at Averett and Randolph-Macon, and two home contests versus Ferrum and Hampden-Sydney.

Shenandoah travels south for the next four games, with meetings at Eastern Mennonite, Randolph, Washington and Lee, and Guilford.

Second meetings with Averett and Randolph-Macon close out play at home for the Hornets before the regular-season finale at Ferrum on Feb. 17.
