Women's Relay Teams Set Two Records

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Shenandoah University track and field team closed out its weekend at the Colonial Relays with four relay teams competing on Saturday.

The women's sprint medley relay team and the women's distance medley relay team each broke school records on Saturday.

The spring medley relay team, consisting of Amy Oleksy, Grace Semow, Alexis Hubbard, and Janelle Anderson, raced their way to the record with a time of 4:20.48. That mark beats the previous record by 1.72 seconds.

Oleksy, Hubbard, Semow, and Makenna Thrush ran in the DMR and finished the relay in 12:53.73, which breaks the previous record by just under 16 seconds. This marks the second program record that Thrush has been a part of this weekend.

Kyle Corpin, Nathan Lee, William Crowder, and Wyatt Newcome teamed up for the men's sprint medley and completed the relay in 3:39.88, which is less than a second off the school record. Corpin, Lee, and Newcome joined Ethan Harrower for the men's DMR. The four Hornets completed the event at 10:53.68.
