Newcome Named ODAC Offensive Player of the Week

FOREST, Va. - Shenandoah University women's soccer's McKenna Newcome has been named Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Offensive Player of the Week for the third time in her career.

The midfielder scored two goals and had a pair of assists in the Hornets' two wins this week. In both games against Stevenson University and Catholic, Newcome assisted on the team's second goal of the day and scored the game-winning goal, as SU won both games 3-2.

Dating back to the 2025 season, Newcome has scored in 14 of the last 16 games. During that stretch, the Hornets are 13-1-0 when the midfielder scores. Newcome also has 17 goals in those 16 games.

The Hornets return to the pitch this Wednesday at 7 p.m. against the University of Lynchburg.
